The bloodshed in Gaza has deepened as Israeli forces killed at least 60 Palestinians in a series of airstrikes and ground assaults, according to local health authorities. The attacks, which struck densely populated neighborhoods, left behind scenes of devastation as families searched for survivors under the rubble.

Civilian Toll Rises

Witnesses described chaotic scenes in Gaza hospitals, where medical staff struggled to treat scores of wounded men, women, and children. Many victims were brought in with critical injuries, while morgues overflowed, forcing bodies to be placed on the ground outside.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the majority of those killed were civilians, including children. Human rights groups condemned the strikes as “disproportionate and indiscriminate,” warning that Israel’s actions may amount to war crimes.

Escalation of Military Operations

The Israeli military claimed it was targeting Hamas positions, but residents insist entire families were wiped out in their homes. In Shujaiya and Rafah, airstrikes flattened residential blocks, while artillery fire pounded already displaced communities.

With power shortages and fuel blockades continuing, humanitarian agencies say the enclave is nearing collapse. The United Nations has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, but diplomatic efforts remain stalled.

Global Outrage and Silence

Outrage has spread across the Arab and Muslim world, with mass protests in Turkey, Jordan, and Yemen. Meanwhile, Western governments have largely refrained from condemning Israel, with Washington once again blocking a UN Security Council resolution calling for protection of civilians.

Gaza on the Brink

As the death toll climbs, Gaza’s already fragile humanitarian system is crumbling. With food, medicine, and clean water cut off, the people of Gaza face what aid workers are calling a “man-made catastrophe.”

For many Palestinians, the tragedy is not just the loss of lives, but the sense of abandonment by the international community. “The world is watching, and doing nothing,” said one grieving father outside Al-Shifa Hospital.
